No, but our international office provides extensive support regarding living in Türkiye, including accommodation, transportation, health services, and more, with plenty of alternatives.

Will I be provided a work visa or a study visa during my PhD?

DC’s will be granted a work permit exemption, which replaces both the work permit and residence permit. (https://emuafiyet.csgb.gov.tr/welcome) There is no need to obtain a separate residence permit during this period, and the exemption allows for multiple entries and exits.

What are the estimated monthly living expenses of a doctoral candidate?

Can I accommodate my family, including my child, during my stay?

Yes. However, family members of DCs under the work permit exemption do not automatically receive residence rights. DCs must apply for a residence permit for their family members through the Provincial Directorates of Migration Management.

Do I need to pay any tuition fees during the program?

No, the WATER4ALL program covers all tuition fees.

Is the stipend paid in Turkish Liras or in Euros?

In Turkish Liras. The payment calculation method is as follows: Net salary = Gross salary (€2800 * actual exchange rate of Euro to Turkish Lira) – Total deductions (Social Security Premium Employee’s Share (including Unemployment Insurance) + Income Tax + Stamp Tax+ Social Security Premium Employer’s Allocation (including Unemployment Insurance).
